A few pics from the 'flex rock' in Reno.

Things I know:
  • I need more rear travel.
  • I need to bumpstop the front.

And for grins a few more gratuitous flex pics.

the flex looks good, do you still have your rear swaybar in? If so, without that the flex would be more balanced.

My rear bar has been repatriated to the corner of my garage for some time now. My flex issue in the rear is twofold: My leaves are new and still kind of stiff, and my rear shocks, even though they are listed as correct for my lift height, are too short. My solution to the first problem is obvious, more wheelin'. The second problem will be addressed with a set of these.

Yeah the Moabs look awesome on the XJ's... I am actually trying to source myself a set right now so I can get them powder coated, and install them with 32 or 33's once I get the lift ready to install... I am building my kit up a bit at a time, only need a few more parts and I will hopefully catch up with you.... Looking real good... I like those new pics... by the way what brand of shocks are you running?? I am just wondering cause if you are running the Rusty's I wanted to know since I am going to be purchasing their recommended set for the 4.5" lifts, but don't want to be limited by the shocks...

Have you see the Moab repops from Mamba? The come in several finishes including all black and they're way cheaper. Just a thought.

I'm running Rubicon Express monotubes in the front and SkyJacker Nitro 8000's in the rear. I would have run Rubicon's all the way around but as far as I know the rears in my length are still on backorder. I got sick of it and grabbed some SJ's from Summit. They're +/-27.5" long at full extension which is apparently too short for 6" lift. Once I get the JKS relocation brackets on I should have about 3" more downtravel which will be plenty for now. Rusty's doesn't list their shock lengths for some reason so I can't really comment on them.

I am trying to find the repops now... I hadn't heard about them, but will continue to look for them... if you happen to have a link that would be awesome....

I am going to stick with the Rusty's shocks for now, as I have the plan to go from the 4.5" lift that I have for my XJ, to a 6" upgrade within a year or so... then I will spend the money for better, longer shocks....

Very Very nice. I like your rig. Looks good. I like the rubi wheels as well.

EDIT: I also noticed under what looks like full droop (your shocks limiting) your brake lines still have plenty to go. Some people should pay attention instead of making asses of themselves.. not naming names.
