I got a 1999 Jeep cherokee for just under 5k. Still running, it wasnt in top notch condition but a fair price for the car. It was a steal or nothing too good to pass up just about the right price so I went ahead and bought it. I plan on making it a nice ride but it will take a lot of money and time. Both of witch I dont have a lot of. I want to keep it a daily driver till i pay it off but add stuff in between. Once i get it all paid off I am going to make it only off road and get another car. That wont be for a while though. I am pretty new to the whole jeep world, since I just bought this about 3 weeks ago...

What's those red power wires running to? Is that a system in the back?

Definitally got plans... I am in the next week while my wife is out of town going to clean up the engine and take off all the wheel fenders. Also I am going to replace the headliner, making it blue. I want to go with a blue and black theme to my jeep. Just for kicks. I did the painting and cleaning the battery up today cause it was all bad. I plan to clean the 1/4in layer of grease and dirt off in the next couple of days and maybe get the headliner out soon also. I am just doing these things this week/next weekend cause they are cheap/free and I have the time.
  • I plan to get ( most likely) a 3.5in lift but im not totally sure yet. I might go higher.
  • I want to paint it black.
  • Get/make a roof basket.
  • Bed liner the interior flooring/ take out the carpet.
  • Get an audio system.
  • Make a plug in the back ( saw it in another forum:https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/ho...ep-mods-21618/)
  • Shave the wheel wells.
  • Put it on some 31" tires
  • Get new rims.
  • paint on top of black with mud
  • either d44 or d 60s
  • and eventually when I get the money swap engine and trans with something with a little more power.
Any other suggestions?
