Watch what you wish for. Michigan sucks in the winter. Could be -5 one day and 50 the next, or just single digits or lower for weeks at a time. Oh and don't forget about the snow. Hasn't been too bad this year, but we get hammered a few times a year.

Oh, and our summers can get into the high 90's and humid as hell. Yep, Michigan gets both extremes! It's kind of a *****, but I love this state with everything I have.

Yeah Michigan's pretty nice. I visit my uncle every year. He has a house over by Kalamazoo.

What receipts? The only thing I would trust is a VIN search. Unless you can provide the VIN and somehow prove it's from the vehicle in question, I'm still calling BS.

he had his original quotes and everything from the day he bought it at the dealership....I can't go back 10 or 11 months...but you already have your beliefs, I was just staying what I saw first hand...not trying to argue or anything or stamp a claim of who is right haha...just stating what I saw..I do agree with your premise about the issues it would cause at the factory but of course anything is possible

I would like to upgrade my headlights to truck-Lite's in the near future, but i also have factory fog lights that i want to change to LED's. Does anyone know a LED brand that would fit and look close to the factory fog lights?

My next project on the Jeep was to get the broken dipstick out of the dipstick tube, replace the valve cover gasket because it was leaking and do an oil change.

I tried everything to get the dipstick out without taking off the tube, but i was not successful.

It was fairly easy to take the tube off though. 1) One 13 inch nut to remove a ground wire. 2) Use a 5/16 wrench to take off the double sided bolt that holds the tube to the block. 3) Remove dipstick tube and reinstall.

5/16" double sided bolt

Valve cover off, cleaned and Fel-pro gasket reinstalled.

Side note: The oil was not milky when i removed the valve cover, so my 0331 head should be good.

For now at least.... lol

Just keep an eye on your coolant levels. If you're mysteriously loosing coolant, than most likely the heads cracked.

15w-40w? Well I guess you don't have to worry about the cold much in FL.

Just a clever trick I used when my dipstick broke off to avoid pulling the tube:

I put a small dollop of hi temp hot glue on the end of a piece of threaded rod. Carefully slid it down my tube without smearing it up and down side walls and let it cool and harden on top of the broken dipstick. Pulled the threaded rod out and the dipstick came right along with it.

I run the same oil. Good stuff. The counter guy at autozone still asks me why I run that thick of oil in my 4.0

Haha every parts counter guy says the same thing. They do not get it. These Jeeps like the thicker oil and the additive packages in the diesel oils.
