Default new to jeeps

i have a 2000 xj i bought for my son who has it in arizona i am going to buy him lift kit tires etc. i was wondering what axles are on it?

Assuming its 4x4 Dana 30 Front .....If it has ABS then it has a Dana 35 rear No ABS then it has a Chrysler 8.25 29 spline good luck with the Cherokee

Yep that's pretty much it lol You can go 33" on stock axles and be aight. But watch out for gearing.

Dose he know how to tell if it has ABS .........(Not by slamming on the brakes i mean)

he says he can see alight on the dash but it does not come on when turning on ignition switch

ok the ABS is not a sure fire way to ID your rear....i have 2 non-ABS cherokees with the D35....



the D35 is more round, while the C8.25 has a flat spot on the bottom....also notice the rolled lip on the C8.25.....hope this helps
