It's out. Took about 4 hours start to finish. Going to pick up some more 3/16 and plate my inner frame rails then put the new engine in

Got tired of half my door windows never working so I went to the junkyard and got 4 regulators out of a cherokee with manual windows. Much better. Also I dickered that hole I drilled pretty bad but eh..

Also trying to decide between D&C prefabbed roll cage or essentially off roads. Essentially has a lot more bracing and hops but not much triangulation. D&C seems very minimalistic so I'd have to add a good bit more which I'm fine with. I like how their legs at the dash hug closer and they include a windshield bar too.
Or do I convince nate and rex to split a JD2 bender and build a hybrid cage?

It would be a good bit cheaper but take a whole lot longer but I'm leaning towards building one too. I could do it exactly how I want and keep it tight. Only problem is I love a good halo on top but now that I got a big hole in the roof that I cover with a cut out roof of another cherokee I guess a halo wouldn't quite work l

I follow him, I was originally going to do a snap top like him too but then got the idea of bolting another roof from a cherokee into the roof rack holes and it works perfect. If I left enough roof I could probably slide the roof under the cage but there's no way to make it water tight then with the supports going through the roof so there's no point.. Hmm

I think you could make that work sliding it it through but then the cage would be kinda high off the roof, and your B pillar would have to be super far back i'd imagine where its going through the original roof vs the new roof. Honestly I can't think of any way for that to work with a hybrid

I suppose I could do something like this for a hybrid. My roof is an inch wider then where his bolts are in the picture. I would do a halo up top and try to keep it as close to the roof as possible but still allow room for the roof to slide in and out. It's an idea
