Yeah, mine is a '95, but I do like the '97- up interiors better too.

My new old welder! Finally have 220 power. I plan on finding a Dana 44 to put in the rear and now I can weld the perches and shock mounts!
Got a box of 1/8" 7018 AC. Also wanna run some 6011 too.

Haha that's not even my best lol I run a dc Lincoln 300 almost everyday In school, but haven't run AC in a long time. This is a great little machine IMO. Picked it up for 150 and it stands up to any task needed for Jeep stuff!

Depends... im just trying to make everything look better... All mine come out looking like it had too much power through it and all the metal is dark and looks scorched... I've been trying to work on all those things you mentioned

If ur burning it up and feel you must turn the amperage down, be careful with your arc length. You wanna keep a very short arc length when you weld. When you let it get too long, it gets crazy and burns up your base metal. Another thing that can help is clamp your ground in a position that you are going to weld away from it (opposite direction). This seems to help control magnetic arc deflection which can make a crappy looking bead.

Also once u check that arc length, when you're done with a weld, if that slag doesn't crack off really easily, you have probably done something wrong. Usually one of the things I have mentioned, especially correct amperage
