Just went with the first three. When I add recovery and possible hidden winch I will expand on the mounting system. Good enough for now

Do you have other pictures of the mounts for the rack on your roof? I like how you mounted it in your existing holes from the stock rack.

Yea i do have some! here's some back when it was being tacked up. I just got some 2"x1/8" strap. Cut 4 pieces at 3" and 4 pieces at 2". Drilled holes in the 2x2" pieces and got longer bolts at lowes. The rest is pretty simple. I bolted the 2x2 down and tacked the 3" pieces vertical, and later tacked them onto my rack.

Sooooo I was bored after school... So I started popping dents. Then I found the sander and some 220 and sanded the whole driver side. Just dulling the factory paint and gonna put primer on the bare metal spots. Going to do a roll on rustoleum blue.

Question for ya welding buddy lol... Gonna re weld my door hinges (thick hinge to thin sheet metal) what rod do you recommend for that?

Also good work on pulling those dents and what kind of blue are you going after?

Some 7018 should be ok. But really a pain In the *** because it's out of position. I would try to weave it going vertical up, staying on the thick stuff more often. Keep your rod angle just below 90 degrees to the hinge. Make sure you get 7018 AC if you have an AC machine too. Yeah I really would like to get a slide hammer setup with suction cup style poppers. But I only have a hammer and sander lol. Going to get rustoleum 7727 royal blue in a gallon. Looks the best I think. Similar to this picture. My plan is to do several coats by rolling on with a high density fiber roller then final fine wet sand, then clear coat.

Cool man let me know how that goes. Do a z-weave and stack your beads very tight if that makes sense. A 3/4" wide zigzag and it should be plenty strong. Did your factory hinge weld crack?

I'll try to stack dimes lol Thanks for all the advise man i really appreciate it I was parked on a hill in my yard and the door slammed open and it was enough to break the welds and have the door scrub the fender when it opened and closed... Fixed that much of it haha
