What brand lift did you end up going with? I remember you said you were planning on IRO but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't BDS the only company currently producing 8.5" lifts without the use of spacers? Either way BA Jeep. I remember when you first started this build and you were bone stock rolling with a shark tooth bumper. Your progress has made my jaw hit the floor... again.

haha thanks man it is all IRO. the coils say 8" but they netted me around 8.5 and my leafs are 5.5" full packs with a 2.5" AAL and 1.5" shackle and all that has it sitting at about 8.5" in the rear so thats just what it comes out to haha. it does sit a little tall but should clear 36s nicely in the future.

well, every good thing has to come to an end..in this case, a bad end. i was driving home from some Christmas shopping today and i was in the right lane and a lady coming out of an intersection turning left turned right into the right lane. it was either hit her or the snow bank. i was doing 30mph, swerved into the snow bank, the jeep climbed up it on the pass side, then rolled over onto the drivers side and came to a rest on the roof. the crash blew out the pass side window, spidered the windshield and blew out the back window. the roof caved on the pass side and the unibody looks a little tweaked.

i was wearing my seatbelt and was hanging upside down when i heard people running over and frantically trying to get the door open but they were both stuck closed. i ended up crawling out the pass side on my back which cut it up from the glass and my hand got a few cuts but im doing just fine. a little shooken up but just fine. when the cop got there nobody said they witnessed it and the old lady stopped but the cop let her go cause he thought she wasnt involved. he came over to me and i told him it was her but she had already gome. i remember the plate and it was a gold park avenue..they say they should be able to track her down and i hope to god so so i can get some money for the jeep.

i only have liability on it so im gonna have to drag it home and part it out. i might be buying a honda accord that needs a distributor or fuel pumo for $250 to get me by til i can get the money for a nice truck. but for the time being, i dunno how im gonna get all the parts off cause its illegal to have a vehicle in pieces in the driveway so ill have to see if i can sell it whole.

anyways, i have pics from the scene but i have to get them off but heres some pics i got from the tow yard when i got there today..after paying the damn $375 in fees >

dude that sucks, you made the right decision going for the snow bank instead of the car. I'm glad you're okay.

thanks guys its tough..worst part is the cops and my insurance lady said i should have just hit her. but then i could have been sued for manslaughter cause my bumper would have done right into her roof and probably her head. im hoping everything turns out ok. ive got my eyes on a nice truck..just hoping insurance works out. i hate this feeling of uncertainty.

yeah thats the sad thing, you can get screwed over for doing the right thing.

Hopefully you'll get your money's worth out of it.

this thread further solidifies that some people shouldn't be on the roads in the snow.

Oh man this breaks my heart! Good thing your okay! Truly unbelievable!

Ive been keeping up on this build and you've come so far and I have always thought about what if i crashed my jeep or rolled it and I would totally swap my parts over to a new one but that's just me. You should get another stock one, try and get as many parts off your jeep now and swap them on the new one Get a honda for the time being, but like you said you cant have a wrecked vehicle in the driveway. So get a couple buddies and you'll get those parts off in no time!

If you do part it out, definitely interested in parts

Good luck man
