Default my project - daily driver/wheeler

started out with a bone stock 99 cherokee. hers what its go underneath

-straight six
-AX-15 5 speed
-NP231
-D30/Chryco 8.25 both with stock gears (3.07s)

dad brought it home to look it over one night while i was at work (i had the sebring i bought from my mom at the time.)

sat in the garage for the night

ended up taking a loan out for it and sold my car 2 weeks later and got what i paid for the jeep so i broke even..now any money goes to mods.

some pictures the day after it came home

about 2 months later..not much..just a cb, firestik, baja fogs, new sending unit, couple other small things

doorless and brand new 30x9.5" BFGoodrich Mud Terrains..love these tires! i lost a bet and had to paint teeth on the bumper of my jeep..dont ask

jumping ahead

-surco roof rack
-4 hellas on the rack
-2 KCs on the bumper
-bajas put backwards on the rack
-herculined fenders and rocker panels
-magnaflow muffler off our old V8 durango
-wheels painted black
-bumper cut up because i slid off a rut muddin in the woods and kissed a tree and it was close to hitting the tire so i just cut the extra area off
-relocated firestik
-no rear sway bar

next came rear tow points and a steel bumper. i bought a jcr stage 3 rear with no tire carrier and it came with D-ring tabs, 2" reciever and tie-ins. herculined it and put it on.

definitly a great bumper

coming next

3.5" rough country with 3.5" full packs
front bumper (either from AJ's offroad or JCR)
32 or 33s once the current tires wear out
different wheels
re-geared axles

ill update this thread as i do stuff to the jeep.

thanks guys..herculined sides look good on any color in my opinion. ive seen herc'd sides on blue, silver and even black xjs and it makes them look sweet. also helps to prevent door dings and rust.

oh yeah, hopefully you guys like lots of pictures because im a picture *****.

finney, looks good on any color. just remember, its a one shot deal because youve got to sand off the nice glossy paint so the herc will stick.

okc, sounds good man, just remember to sand good..thanks for the compliment also

as mentioned above, im a pic ***** so heres a few wheeling pics to prove it gets used

crystal lake

first time really..got stuck the night before and had to have my friends who were with push me out. i had my POS 28" pathfinder A/Ts

first stuck

aftermath of my first time muddin and real trail ridin

long story short on the above picture. we parked our rigs to get some pics for a photo class and the dude with the red truck drove up a snow bank and some people walking by called the cops on us. all was cool and the cops were cool with it.

yep its done!

just got home from driving and man its great! rides stiffer, got some slight vibes but it is so much better than stock!

it needs 33s but the 30s get me around. my jeep is also about 2" higher than my friends 95 which is lifted 3" on 31s.

heres some pics

when we got there, it was getting the u-joint change

custom shackles

on the ground, this is how much clearance the tires have got
