stay with the clean white look, it's just so slim and sexy with an amazing stance, i can't wait to get my jeep back up and running again
Smoked my tail lights a few days ago and got the interior dried out and bolted seats back in.. HIDs still aren't working I think the drivers side bulb is blown cuz the passenger side works gotta go get them exchanged tmrw. Anyways here's a few pics of the tail lights (pics were taken before I smoked the third brake light). They turned out really good! They have the glossy look to them not all flat black like I've seen some around here.. If anyone has any questions on how to properly smoke their tail lights let me know!

Also what headlights did you go with and did you have to add a wiring harness or anything else?

@STUD_901:
First you're going to need to buy a can of VHT Nite-Shades. Also get some meguiars ultimate compound and a 2 pack of microfiber pads (one for applying the ultimate compound and the other for polishing the lights when you're done). There's 2 videos on YouTube that I found and the guy shows you exactly what to do. He did 3 coats of the Nite-Shades but that's too dark for my taste. 2 coats of Nite-Shades w/ 5 coats of clearcoat is perfect. Check out these videos (pt 1 & 2) and just do what he did. It's super easy. Also having a hair dryer is helpful because it makes it go by way quicker. Just spray a coat then dry it with the hair dryer and repeat. Good luck.
Here's the links to the videos

pt 2:
As for the HIDs... I went to a local shop that has them for $35 (full set, including ballasts ) and picked up a pair of 8Ks. With the XJs as you may know, the headlights are sealed beams so you will need to get a pair of Hella H4 Halogen Conversion head lights (http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_02.htm).. then all you do is take out the old sealed beam headlights and replace them with the H4's.. put the HID bulbs in and connect the ballasts (literally plug and play) and you got HIDs. simple as that. No wiring harness was needed. Take note that if you have the courtesy lights on your jeep that stay on after you turn the vehicle off, you will need to unplug the relay underneath the dash. A guy on Jeep Forum has info with pics on how to do it here...

Awesome build man. Can't wait to see her done with that lift. Question, what specific bulb did you get for the license plate? I just did all my interior lights recently with SuperBrightLED brand LEDs. Writeup here if interested.

it sat for 4 years while i was in training and deployment, my parents let it go to ****. just replaced all fluids, new radiator, tanny cooler, dirtbound offroad fan conversion, need a new header panel, grill, headlights, turn signals ie whole front end, new front fenders, suspension lift, sold my POS one i had on it to a friend, new rockers(mine a bent to hell) amongst other things. it's a project for a reason. I'm just waiting for VA pension to kick in so i have more dispensable cash to put into my XJ
