Got a new connector for my blower motor resistor. Wired it up and plugged it in. Now I can use all of the fan speeds instead of high (4)!

Hey. I have 4 Kenwood 6.5" 3-way speakers (kfc-1693ps). I have them in the front doors and the rear sound bar. In order to fit the speakers up front, I had to screw a screw in at an angle because I'm pretty sure the stock speaker size up front is 5.25". Also for the front and rear I had to cut up and modify the stock speaker grills and door panel. You can see those pictures in my first or second page in this build thread. My headunit power the speakers just great. No issues there. For my sub/amp setup- I just recently purchased a 12" JL sub in a sealed box, no idea on the specs, but it's powered by a bridgeable 2 channel 400 watt Rockford Fosgate amp. Not sure the model on it either. I bought it off craigslist. I used to use that same amp with a 10" mtx audio sub with a 350 watt rating. If I were you, I'd keep my eyes open for deals on craigslist, and get a sealed box because they take up less space. Good luck!

Im buying a rockford fosgate amp and 2 12" subs with a enclosure for $100. the amp is like 350watts? or 330. i just had no idea on if you were limited to a certain watt limit from that head unit but if you have a 400 watt im sure a 350 will work, thanks

No I'm pretty sure any external amplifier will work with the headunit. It's not getting it power from the headunit, you can just control it from the headunit.

I Have asked many times whether it matters on different sites and i always get weird answers that have to do with gauges of wires and stuff

So you like Rockford Fosgate? I plan on getting that amp and 2 12"'s

No, if you buy an amplifier wiring kit, it will come with the right gauge wires. Check out amazon for better prices. I like the rockford fosgate. I've read that their wattage/power ratings are true and not over-exaggerated like some companies do.

Haven't updated in a while. Finally got around to putting my "modded" rear bumper endcaps back on. The new rear bumper didnt allow for the endcaps to be on but it looked empty without them.

I just cut the corners off of them.

Went on a short float trip today. Used racks that my dad made for his old jeep.

Looks good man! I love the rear tire carrier, gives the XJ's a cool safari look.

What'd you wind up doing with those old 3" coils btw?

Hey thanks! Yeah I got a good deal on the rear bumper and plus it gets that big spare out of the back and leaves more interior room. I sold the coils a few weeks ago.

Went somewhere the other day and as soon as I parked, antifreeze started shooting out from my radiator cap and I probably lost a gallon of it. It wasn't overheating, it was just above 210. Luckily I had a gallon with me so I let it cool down and filled it back up and it drove home fine. I decided to replace the cap and it hasn't leaked yet. Hopefully I just had a worn out cap.

I'm still having cooling problems but I took a heat gun to my flares to blacken them up a bit.

Bought some new coolant, new thermostat and gasket, a radiator flush kit and some radiator flush cleaner.
