i was repurposing this to be a 2in hitch mount instead of the custom mount that it origonally was. need to add a type of hinge so i can access the trunk.

i really like that, i think im going to do the same thing but on the front bumper and make it wider. yea the thing that sucks about the back is you cant open the hatch with anything in the way

it was og supposed to be dual point mounted on the front but i have a pre runner type bumper so it was not going to work. totally worth the investment tho, this one is 23 years old. still worth every cent of what my father payed for it that long ago.

been a long time since ive put any updates into this thread. havent done any major upgrades to the XJ except for a new head unit. i added a pioneer app radio which i absolutely love. its touch screen with bluetooth and nav. got it brand new for $250 from a buddy who lost his job and needed some cash. cant beat the price. anyways other than that ive just done some maintenance on it. i had to do a power steering pump, a/c compressor, 2 front wheel bearings, and put a new oil dipstick tube in it. other than that its been running great. ive been thinking about pulling all the carpet out and bedlining the floors once i get the doors off here soon. ive been doing some light mods to my JK and driving that more since the weathers been nice and i have the top and doors off anyways ive been thinking about doing something dramatically to change the XJ cosmetically. i either want to do a different paint color, or change the rims/tires, maybe both, etc. any ideas? i think it would look pretty badass in that gecko color they put on new wranglers. i thought some input from you guys would help. it needs tires bad, i was thinking about getting adapters and putting the wheels and tires from my JK on it. im also re-bedlining the front bumper and welding a 2'' reciever to the front. heres some pics for reference:

PS: if anyone has photoshop and is good at using it, could you maybe crop the JK photo and take the wheels off it and move them onto the pasenger side pic of my XJ?
