My 87 comanche 2wd.. You can guess what i'm doing :D-image07122011170446.jpg
Finally putting my trussed D30 in that i picked up from a guy in the town next to mine for only $130... Newer 4.10 Yukon gears, big shafts hell of a good deal

gonna be ordering JCR's 1-ton over the knuckle kit to aid in beefing up the steering

i will be ordering heim joints and then fabbing up some mounting brackets so i can setup my long arms to become radius arms also

Sorry for the dumb question, but by "trussed" do you mean the big metal thing on top of the axel?

Oh and awesome job with the build so far.

It beefs up the axle, prevents the housing from spinning, keep the tubes from flexing and u can add link mounts to it without welding to the housing

the way this axle truss was setup, it actually crosses over the pig completely and doesn't connect to it at all... (welding steel to cast steel not always an awesome option). Plus everything else is really beefed up, from the coil spring buckets to even the shock mounts and sway bar mounts. It has made a number of my buddies a little jealous when they saw it in the back of the garage
definitely a right place and right time buy.

so today i figured i would mount my winch in the ARB, Since i have to wait for some payday cash to order my JCR steering kit. I figured "oh why not.."

My 87 comanche 2wd.. You can guess what i'm doing :D-adjusted.jpg
see how there looks to be a little bit of a gap tween the spindle and the winch case.... thats because its all slop.. something inside had given lose a little bit so the entire unit would basically almost fall out...

So a phone call l8r and a quick drive i come home with this...... $55 warrenty charge and i'm back under a new 2 year warrenty with this 9k plb winch...

Gave me a hell of a deal because mine was an 8k plb winch but they didnt have any in stock and they weren't going to let me leave empty handed lol

holy shlt! this build is amazing. and you got a great deal on that winch, along with that bumper on your parts jeep.

you should recover that headliner and sound abr to fix the sagging and hole wher the light goes but it looks great none the less

Just ordered my 1-ton steering kit from JCR... we'll see how long it takes to get here.... still have a small pile of things on the to-do's.... sorry for the slow progress i actually figured it would've been done by now. Lots of projects and a busy schedule..... so little time

its been some time.... but I FINALLY got my 1-ton steering kit in and the first thing i did was paint it!

Finally ran my break lines from the booster to the proportioning valve

My 87 comanche 2wd.. You can guess what i'm doing :D-102_1196.jpg
and also hooked up my steel braided brakelines....

didnt get to bleed the brakes yet, (needin the extra set of hands for that)..

But i did get in the pair of heim joints i need for my radius arms.... and now i'm just waiting on a little box of goodies from BallisticFab to come in and then i can start finishing the radius arms!

I've also been stabbing at getting my tail lights setup but its kinda turning into a to figure out what wires to potentially splice.... or just snip em and hard wire.......
