and then finished up with getting the motor/trans/tcase in...
all 3 still attached..... yea i know its easier without the t-case attached or the trans too... but i hate installing t-case's so a great battle began between myself, the comanche, and the motor..... obviously i won and we're all good friends now

so i got more progress......
motor, fully installed and hooked up now.... had it running for a little while the other day
header panel fully installed, ARB only Lose-bolted on... still gotta clean it up and paint it all the lights work, but for some reason the rear tail lamp running lights on the cherokee harness turn on as soon as i turn the key on..... ?????? havent wired the cherokee tail light harness' to the comanche lights yet.. gotta figure that out before i start extending and snipping lines
had/having a bit of an issue with actually starting it with the key cycle... so i may end up working some wiring and running an in dash remote push button to start it "maually"
as you can see i use color coded zip ties to mark specific vacuum lines and wire harness plugs so i wouldn't confuse anything while hooking everything back up... also i still need to connect the new brake booster to the old proportion valve....
thought my key cycle starting issue was something in the column so i snagged my old one and was messing with it to no real success full end.....
it wont be too long before i start revamping the front long arms and swap the D30 out for something a little stronger.....

well believe me i was not too fond of tearing it down either but the reality of it all was that the Donor was a serious rust bucket..... i had to reinforce the leaf spring mounts on the frame side to keep them from going through the floor... the body was still nice but the floors were GONE.... Also its hard to have 3 Lifted jeeps in one driveway, to many choices to make on which one do i spend money on today ya know..... and it was only a matter of time before i do the H.O swap on the MJ anyway so opportunity was knocking

That is so ironic... Last October I picked up a 87 Comanche for $500 as well; same faded black long bed 2wd i6, except mine has 180k on it and I don't think we're the second owners lol. Also I use it as a work truck, not gonna lift it. Cool build though.

it says something along the lines of hands off my CB or it'll result in a serious A$$ whoopin lol
So i finally found a pair of legit comanche seats and brackets.... sits way more comfortable now
also removed the old cherokee headliner and cut it down for a custom fit... still working in the fit... lol
may try and mount up a rear cherokee speaker bar also
