"Fixed" my front clip yesterday. I do plan on eventually putting fenders from the parts Jeep on, but I kind of like the no-front-flares look. I want to try and rattle can the fenders before I put them on though. If I get adventurous I might even put my welding skills to the test and fab up a front bumper. My rear is clunking pretty bad though so that's the next issue I'll probably address. Here's some pics, dents add character...right?

I greased up my slip yoke today, it still fells like there's a bit of slop in the back, but it definitely isn't as bad. I was chasing down a rear for $100 so I might pick it up as a spare, just in case this one is bad. What are some tests I can do to see if the problem is in the diff? I already checked my u-joints and they're fine. I also fixed my t-case linkage so I have all my 4wd ranges now, which is always nice.

Not too much to report over here, it's been cold and I hate working on stuff in the cold. Popped my diff covers front and rear and everything looks fine, so I'm just going to learn to live with the "Chrysler Clunk" in the back. I wanted to change my front pinion seal but I don't have the right socket, so that will have to wait.
Near future plans include new tires (driving in rain/snow with dry-rotted tires is terrifying), a bumper (probably home-brewed), and a new rear bump stop setup, maybe I'll get around to fixing my horn and power windows.....maybe.

Thanks to my tax refund I was finally able to get a set of tires for this thing. Found them at a fair price on DTD and had them mounted up today, along with another alignment.

It finally has been semi-nice outside so I decide to get a little bit of work done on the Jeep this morning. I had bought a pair of sway bar links from amazon for like $40, so I put those on. They aren't quick discos but all I need to do is replace the lower bolt with a pin and clip, then they will be. I had a time figuring how to get that stock, pressed in, bolt out. So I searched the google and found a guy who said he ground off the head of the bolt. Then stacked up washers or whatever and torqued the nut back on until it pulled the bolt out. Genius idea, it worked perfectly. While I was under there I also realized how off-center my axle was, so I fixed that too (or at least made it better). I was going to work on my rear bumpstop setup but I ran out of time.
It's not a great picture but that's how I got that stupid pressed bolt out
Not bad for $40

A couple of years ago I found an old CB radio up in my grandfather's attic. It has been just sitting around my house since then. So I decided that it needed to go in my Jeep. I had been thinking about ways to mount it and wondered how it would fit in my center console. I like the roof mounted ones too but I have a sunroof and an overhead console (or what's left of one) so that wasn't an option. Then I saw a member on here who had done exactly what I wanted to see, a center console mounted CB. So that's where I put the radio and it fits great. Next I ordered a 3' firestik and made up a mount for it, ran the coax and I was done. I think it all turned out pretty well. All I need to do now is tune the antenna and then it'll be ready to roll.

I have long been debating to go steelies or wheel spacers. My argument was that I needed to fix the issue of my tires rubbing the LCA's at full lock, but lets be honest I just wanted to push my wheels out further . I decided to go with wheel spacers because they're lighter, cheaper (I just paid for tire mounting and balancing and didn't feel like doing it again), and as long as they are hubcentric and installed properly people didn't seem to have problems with them. I picked up a set for around $80-90 off ebay and threw them on, so far I'm very happy. I also replaced my drivers side power window motor since it's been getting hot here. It looked like the PO had put in a whole new assembly because when I got my "oem" motor the gear wasn't the same. To anyone else who has had this problem don't freak out, the gears are easily switched out, see below.
Hoping to go door-less here before the end of the summer, but I need to figure out how to tackle the wiring issue.
Jeep on
I'm linking the stance, pushed out 1.25in
Little bit of flex
The piece on the left is the one that I had to swap out.

Yesterday I spent a very large portion of the day making my front doors removable. It would have been easier if I had another hand but as a one man job it can be done. I followed this writeup here
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/a...s-97-a-444398/
I also discovered that my AC doesn't work, which sucks this happens to me every time I buy a Jeep. It looks like it's all just spraying out the low pressure valve and the lines are not even getting cold, so maybe I just need to find a cap? or could my compressor be bad? I rarely even use AC unless it's hot and raining but I would like to fix it before I go to WVU in the fall.

Those are just a set of old bar-end motorcycle mirrors that I found in my garage and I bolt them to the hinge. They pretty much just keep me legal and don't do much for visibility, but at least they look cool.

Not much to report over here with the Mean Green Jeep Machine. Tried to fix my AC but to no avail so I'll just keep taking the doors off when it gets too hot lol. I picked up a set of tube doors from a buddy. I also ran into some more things and had to get a rear bumper. I finally got a full size spare mounted as well so that's nice. The build has reached the point where I don't have the money to dump into things like aftermarket bumpers and roof racks and all that especially with this being my daily. So while this build is far from over it has definitely slowed down and will probably only be small upgrades for a bit. Jeep on my friends.
