I'm starting with a 96 xj with 142k miles that was stored on my property for about 9 months and then was given to me. I know all the owners back to original owners, its been all older women owners (3) always on pavement. Before it was parked it got new radiator and a bunch of other work done.
I picked up a 88 xj for the wheels since I had used what was on the 96 on a trailer that I built & sold last spring. I think the wheels on the 88 was from a wrangler, I took the wheels off the 88 then traded it for a set of 31x10.5x15 tires, shocks for a 3" lift, 2" leveling blocks for the rear and 3" spring spacers for the front.
The 88 was sitting when a river near by went out of the banks and it was completely submerged. Motor was shot I picked it up for $250. 2 door with a sunroof... sold/traded off.

Reason: Fixed pic loc.
I plan to use the stuff I traded the junk xj for to get me started and in the woods, next winter I will do a real lift with some 35s.
For now Ill gut the inside beside the seats, do a full fender trim and put the traded parts on. This will be a trailer rig only it wont go back on the street. Removing doors is still up in air, may end up cutting hinges in half so I can remove doors when I want and cutting doors down as well. I also plan on doing a bastard leaf spring with leafs from a s-10 (weak springs in xj)
