Ok so I have been having a terrible grinding noise when deaccelerating that I'm pretty sure is from the slip yoke being pulled so far out. I wanted to find some cheap ways to fix this and I don't really want to do a t-case drop. I found I could get a cross member off a Cherokee with a standard trans that would drop it 3/4" and a yj slip yoke would give 5/8" more to the slip yoke to have more in the transfer case. I've also been considering rustys cross member with 1" drop built in. Can any one think of other ways to do this? If I knew how the transfer case bolted to the cross member I'd make one but I'm not really sure.
