I need to do some more maintenance before the winter (plugs, wires, belt and injectors) At the same time, I'll try to get those diff covers installed. After all that, I don't know. I want to chop the rear eventually, get some flat flares, a snorkel and hopefully regear or change the axles. There's more, but, we'll see how it goes....I really want to have a good offroading machine.

I went mudding with MTLXJ yesterday. There was a big mud hole and MTLXJ crossed it first and made it. Then I tried and got stuck, but their was this lifted F-250 (7.3L diesel) on 37 inch with us and he pulled me out without a problem.
Then the F-250 tried it and he got stuck. The only one that could pull him out was me as MTLXJ's Cherokee was on the other side and couldn't get any traction. Since the guy in the Ford was nice enough to pull me out, I figured the least I could do was try to pull him with my XJ. Well, believe it or not, my XJ was able to pull that 7,000 lbs + beast out of that hole. I was very impress, to say the least. All I can say now is: Size doesn't matter!! LOL.

The aftermath

MTLXJ found his way back instead of crossing that hole again since that ford and I damaged it some more

First Official Trail run ever for me. We were 5 trucks: 2 Cherokee, 2 Grand Cherokee and a 4 Runner.

Almost at the end of the trail, there was a big mud hole. No one wanted to try except the 4Runner. The guy said: "I'll go, but i'm sure i'll get stuck"
The result:

After multiple attempts with this:

We told him to drive as far as he could to the "dry" land...

and then the green cherokee pulled him out.

So, all in all, it was a very fun ride and I can't wait to do it again.

That's what everybody keeps telling me. I know that I'm going back wheeling this weekend either to that spot or another spot one guy knows. Either way, I won't hold back this time.

Thanks!! My build slowed down a bit since I bought another XJ. This one will be used mostly on weekends for now and the 93 will be daily driven. Wife is supposed to go for her driver's license test on the road soon. Until she passes that, the 93 will be my DD.

Nothing much changed. I'm slowly looking for some 33 or 35's (plus wheels) for this summer. It will all depend on how much I get back when I do my taxes. The current wheels + tires will go on my 93.
Here's a picture of how it looked this morning.

UPDATE
I drove it to my mechanic, so he could change both my hub bearings, fix my calipers (one was sticking) and install my heavy duty diff. covers. I'm pretty much ready to hit some trails now.
Next step is most likely 33 or 35 inch tires. Doing my income taxes pretty soon.
Pictures coming soon.

Went mudding with 2 other Cherokees. (MTLXJ was one of them) The other one was stock with 29-30 inch tires. He did pretty good none-the-less. I did not take alot of pictures, but one guy had his GoPro so he took some videos. I should have 1 or 2 to post pretty soon.
First picture is when we first got there and the second one half way through the trail.
