The Fascist Killing Machine.
anyone who knows the band Anti-Flag will know where my new project got its name.
its a 2000 2 door xj. bought it with some custom rims and bushwacker flat flares.
added a rubicon 3.5 inch super ride lift and some 33 inch bfg km2's.
took it out to moab and wheeled it a little bit.
i was building another crawler at the time, but i gave up on it. there were cracks all over the unibody and i feel like actually wheeling this summer.
soooooo, i decided to just build my dd 2 door. i have a work van, so its not really a dd.
some of you may have seen my bumper build for it. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/an...-bumper-90895/
started first by selling the rims and tires. sold within 5 hrs of posting.
had a hp d44 for my last project, so i started building some mounts and a truss.
thats as far as i got yesterday. going to pick up some beadlocks, front arb, and a rear detroit later today.
btw-this is a budget build.....i will add some prices after i pick some stuff up. also still need to pick up a 9 inch rear end.

OK, so the other ride has died and the daily driver will thrive.
I love the two doors....We need some more pics on this one.

passed on the arb and detroit. just cant bring myself to buy used lockers.
did however pick up some 32 bolt Allied beadlocks for $175 and upper and lower conrtol arm mounts for $50 bucks. i would usually build these, but fr the price, i couldnt pass them up. saved alot of fab time. i already have enough time in the truss and coil buckets.
i should also add that i am adding one inch of lift to my coil buckets and stretching the front out one inch to center the coils a little better.
will be building a shackle relocation box in the rear to match the one inch of lift up front for a total of 4.5 inch lift. im not sure on tire size yet.
if i want to keep the flares, i can prob only run 35s. if i ditch em, thats more cash for the build, and i will run 37-38 with some bump stopping. i have built too many big jeeps, over 5.5 inches of lift, and want a low cog to try and help the street manners of this thing.
good god im gonna be broke after this!! i know the girl is gonna want a ring when its all said and done for putting up with a million jeep builds!!!!

yeah, i dig low cog xj's too.
i got the lca mounts burned in last night. also got the uca mounts positioned and tacked in place on the truss. have to pull the truss back off to finish weld the undersides. i would usually build my own high clearace mounts, but im trying to make this a bolt in cherokee axle for re-sale value. i change my mind alot, and will prob build a d60 down the line.
truss is 3/8 plate and is being tied in from coil bucket to coil bucket. all mounts will be tied together to evenly distrubute all the forces put on any of them. it also ties into my diff cover using 3 of the cover bolts and two on the truss. the last truss i built kept ripping off the drivers side. so i tied it into the diff cover this time to help.
still have to build a track bar mout, but that will come when i slide it under the jeep. have to make sure my mounts are going to get my track bar and drag link parrallel.
going to the dentist, will try to post some pics when i get home. but i think they are making me go to work after....boooo!

^^^ok?
picked up a big bearing ford 9 inch for $125 today off of craigslist. less than the junkyard, and i didnt have to pull it. now i gotta make it look all pretty like the front. debating if its worth shaving an inch off of it. i hear if you go anymore, there is oiling issues and you will burn up gears.
if nothing else, i will prob cut out the bottom and plate it with 3/8ths and weld it from the inside and out and also add a truss. i plan on linking the rear in the future, so i may as well get it trussed up.
i will get some more pics up this weekend of my front diff progress, the 9 inch, and some misc other parts i have gathered. (like dem' beadlocks)

got my long arms and bigger lift (6.5 inch) on in the past few days. got a smokin deal and couldnt pass it up. had to order new la's for it though. sitting on 35 inch mtrs.
i tried the 35's with the 3.5 inch lift, and really didnt like how it looked....plus i would have had to ditch my flat flares, which i am becoming fond of......
waiting on my track bar and sye from the brown man. should have it back on its feet here in a week or two. its sitting on all fours, just cant move.
sold the beadlocks to fund the long arms.......made $150 extra off them. sold my re lift to pay for the wheels, tires, and sye. most the money i am dumping into this thing is from parts sold or side work. trying to keep my regular pay out of this build.....and the gf couldnt be happier about that!!
holding off on the axle swap til winter. i want arb's front and rear, and some pretty deep gears, so i decided to get them built and just wheel on the stock axles for the summer. pickin up a chryco 8.25 with an lsd from xjseth later this week.
i will get some pics when i pull the beast out of the garage.

my parents are in town for the next week, so progress will be none.
here is some pics to keep you entertained.
3.5 inch and 35's
close up of the new rims
my new $6 chrysler new yorker turbo hood vents.....saw maybe a 1 degree underhood temp drop. not what i expected from all the talk about em.
also lots of dead bugs from my trip to st elmo.
i have the fascist killing machine on a rustys 6.5 inch lift now sitting in my garage, just waiting on me to install my new track bar and sye. i still need to buy some extended brake lines, front shocks, and cv d-shaft. i will get it rolling when my mom and step dad leave town. fam first!!!!
