way to add tech to my build thread.
TO EVERYONE-this is a build thread, not a discussion on fascism. if you would like to talk about fascism, please go to the off topic section and start a thread there please. only post if you have questions, concers, or suggestions. this is a build thread, not a debate. i now have 3 of you that havent said a word about jeeps, or my jeep for that matter, but would rather discuss fascism. its just the name of my build....thats as far as it needs to go.
TECH ONLY PLEASE!!!

got some more done on my front truss. work is slow, so the build is going slower than planned. i keep taking short vacations to keep from going insane, so thats taking up a lot of funds as well.
i built 1 inch of lift and 1 inch of bump stop into my coil buckets
one of my tacks apparently wasnt very good and popped when i was welding my drivers side upper mount. didnt notice it was cocked to the side until i got the ends welded. have to cut it back off and re-weld it straight.....doh!!
still need to add an otk track bar mount, hydro ram-assist tabs, and weld the truss to the axle. im also doing a lot more beefing to the diff cover.
started cleaning my 9 inch and found a crack in the pumpkin that had been ghetto welded up. my welds arent the perdiest in the world, but at least do it right!!
you need to drill a hole at each end of the crack so it does not continue to spread before welding. i will be grinding this turd away some, then drilling holes, and re-welding the crack so it doesnt spread like it still was.

my front bumper took about 8 hrs start to finish. this has passed that by 3 times already. bumper was a cake walk compared to this!!!!
i have done a ton of axle swaps in xj's and always bought brkt kits before. i wanted something different this time since i plan on keeping this jeep for a while, so i started fabbing away. i think it will be way stronger than any kit. its all pretty much 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch steel.
