They also make a integrated armor piece that might help fill that area you are dealing with. Its similar in shape/angle to what you were thinking about. Click through the pics at the bottom.

Needs a side shot. It has an open gap on the side which I think I will not worry about. Fallon is wire-wheeling as I type, getting ready for paint. SOOOOO ready to move on...

This is where we are as of today. I got the bumper installed while Fallon is at school. I couldn't stand to wait another minute! I like it, but I definitely see room for improvement.
Here's the bumper and hitch installed. It will have to come back off for paint, but that's down the road a piece.

And here's the gap on the side. I just couldn't make up my mind what to do, and nothing seemed easy, so it stays.

Here you can see how the rocker sticks down below the bumper. I still would like to do something with this. It bugs me completely!

I'm also disappointed in how the grinder marks show through. Probably address this later when we remove the bumper.

I started fiddling around with the front bumper. Using this 4X4X3/16. I want to bend it to match the curve of the grill.

I found the center of the bumper and made marks every 4". I picked this number at random while it was sitting on blocks in front of the Jeep. I cut three sides of the bumper with a disc and bowed the metal and tacked it in place. I went back and forth between the Jeep and the table, cutting more each time. I didn't cut them all at once.

Think I'm going to leave it there. I like how it is coming along.

What do ya'll think? More work tomorrow...

Maybe do a partial cut and fold of the part of the quarter below the lowest crease? You could even make an angle like the one you drew that drops from the bumper to the tire. Seems it would be easy to take some of the excess trimmed sheet metal to extend the rear quarter to fill the gap under the tail light if you didn't want to add it to the bumper.

Probably it will be as you say with a C&F, but I don't want to mess it up! Since I have rockers to do (sliders) I will wait until I can "draw my line" down the side of the Jeep to make it all flow. If that makes any sense at all??
I have this idea of front bumper flowing into flat fenders, flowing into rock rails, flowing into flat fenders, flowing into rear bumper. I have NO freaking idea if I can actually do it or what it will look like!

Yes, that does make sense. Didn't realize you had all those plans.
That front bumper looks really nice too! I thought you might do that with the ends. Curious how much it will weigh.
