Doin' Work. XJ build
Well, I guess I can post my semi build here. It will be a slow going process. When it's complete, it won't be an amazing rock crawling, mud bogging, hill climbing truck. But it will be a very subtle all purpose rig that will try everything I mentioned that it wouldn't be. haha. Anyways, here is a small timeline from purchase to now.
The first day I had it home, I painted the factory wheels black.
I then ordered some Cragar Soft 8's from Summit. 15x8 w/4in. BS. And I added some crappy BAJA fogs that are full of water now. lol.
Well, with the new wheel backspacing, I rubbed like crazy in the rear. So, yesterday I got a good friend to come over and help me do some fender trimming. I still need to add the rubber trim, but I love how it performs and looks.
That's it for now. I will update as more progress is made. Thanks for looking.

Haven't done anything since my last post except test the cut fenders. Here's a few pics. I also have have to replace my oil sending unit, as it went out on our adventure yesterday. Anyways, here's some pics of the Jeep after it's action.

the fenders are cut, you can see that there is no bolt holes and they are "cleaner" since the bolt holes and mounting surface are gone.
Great looking build too!

You have to cut them or it will look horrible... I used a cutting wheel on the rear and tin snips on the front. Pretty easy "mod" to do.
thanks, man. I appreciate that
