Yeah I really like it. It's a no brainer mod for how simple and cheap it is.
Luckily this was my first time running into stereo wiring like that haha

Replaced the old and torn door seals last night. Now it doesn't sound like a tornado when I drive haha
Also adjusted my drivers side door and got it to seal properly

Also pulled the headliner, so I'll hopefully get to that next week

Well, well, well... it's been awhile! How's everyone been? Life took me in a direction away from the jeeps for awhile, but the jeep bug is back now and as strong as ever, I'm ready to get back to work! Updates will be coming soon.

To get caught up, I pretty much drove it on and off until the internal slave cylinder went out last winter and then it just sat until now. I threw a new battery in this weekend and it fires right up and runs great, but will only drive for a few feet until all of the the clutch fluid leaks out.

Plans for the near future:
- Replace clutch slave cylinder, clutch, master cylinder and and hoses.
- Figure out why the headlights stopped working (pretty sure the connections just need cleaned up, but not 100% sure yet)
- Change all fluids
- Get odds and ends buttoned up on it to get it inspected and back on the road!
(I have many more projects planned for this, but right now the main goal is to get it on the road again)

After getting this ready to be daily driven again, I will resume working on the cherokee project and make that my main focus, but will still work on the comanche here and there.

Okay, so change of plans... I started on the jeep this weekend and was going to fix any odds and ends that needed to be done to pass inspection (was holding off on dropping the transmission due to having a broken finger currently).

I got the headlights working again, simple cleaning of the connections took care of that.

Then I realized the blinkers and hazards weren't working. I went down a rabbit hole of fixing one problem only to run into another with that. But in doing so I discovered how bad and sketchy the wiring really is in this thing, I knew it wasn't good after seeing the stereo wiring, but after finding a bunch of poorly and cheaply done splices and random wires ending everywhere under the dash, I decided that it would be irresponsible and dangerous to drive it on the road until I get it all fixed properly. Since I was planning of replacing the dash already, it'll give me the perfect opportunity to get it taken care of then.

To add to everything else, the floors were a bit worse than I thought (nothing I can't handle, but just another time consuming task that would delay being able to driving it even further).

So with that said, I've decided the best route to go is to put this on the back burner for now and get my cherokee finished up. The Cherokee is like 90% done as it is, so I can get that finished up and back on the road, then start up in the comanche again.

In the meantime, if you're interested in the cherokee build, you can find it here.
