Finally got this Jeep back over the weekend. I let my sister borrow it for a few months, I'm such a good brother I know.

So far I've:
-Replaced the CPS to fix a random no start issue it was having. So far so good.
-Got my dash lights working.
-Replaced the vacuum harness, oil cap, and the grommet on the back of the valve cover

Next will probably be getting the heat to work.

Finished up the retrofit, just need to install them now. Maybe after work or sometime tomorrow.

Got the lights installed finally. It's nice to be able to see again. I'll be upgrading to a 55w harness eventually, but these will do for now.

Got an update

I took the camper shell off. It was becoming an eyesore and was impossible to see out of at night. I'll probably keep it though cause it does come in handy.

Installed a front skid plate and painted the headlight rings black

Installed some new brakes and JK shocks. I haven't driven it much, but I'm loving the JK shocks so far!

Finally got this up and running again! Right after I got the JK shocks installed, my getting slightly warm problem turned into a full blown overheating problem. Took forever to track down the issue, but now I have a completely new (minus a few hoses for now) cooling system, so that's nice.

My issue was that the jeep would stay cool while driving, but when the rpms dropped to idle or low speeds, it would start to overheat.
I replaced in this order expansion tank, thermostat, water pump, volvo cap for expansion tank, fan clutch, uper and lower radiator hoses and radiator.
I'm thinking my radiator had some blockage, not allowing it to flow properly. Now everything is working perfectly and it doesn't go over 210 at idle.

Got a few more miles down with the JK shocks and they are awesome! Can't beat it for $50.

Up next is to fix some exhaust leaks and do away with the dual exhaust. Probably gonna go with a flow master 40.

Fixed the exhaust leak today, was a tad bit bigger than I was expecting haha. Truck obviously runs and sounds so much better now. Still hearing a small leak, I'm thinking it's the manifold so I'll be replacing that down the road.

Also fixed my tailgate latch and got it to open and close perfectly now, finally!

Installed a new stereo today. Had to deal with the disaster the PO left me with, so that was fun haha.

Also was finally able to replace one of my reverse lights now that I got the tailgate working. The housings need a good cleaning and polishing, so that'll be added to the list.

Swapped my dash lights with leds. No picture of them but this time I left the lights for the brights and turn signals stock, put leds there in my cherokee and they were way to bright for me.

That is a real improvement with the LEDs, also going back and looking...I feel you on that stereo wiring...did 12v installs from some time before I got into Management and IT/Development.
