Well can't put it off any longer - time to replace the fuel pump
I have a faulty check valve and as many of you know on my year Jeep it is on the pump itself inside the tank.
I had 2 options either cut a hole in my floor or drop the tank.
I opted for option 2
Of course the rusty j-bolts were so corroded I could not remove the nuts.
So I cut them off and fabbed up some replacement j-bolts using carriage bolts. I bent the heads over to 90 degrees and they work great.
Now I have enough room, at least for me(I'm 5'4" and fairly small body) Of course the plastic cap was encased in 17 years of road grime and dirt
Pump came out really easy after cleaning the area
Got new pump re-installed and Jeep started 1st time right away -- starts very easily now

So since I cut the rear lower quarters off completely instead of doing the cut-n-fold method and I installed my rear outlet inside the rear quarter cavity, it left the outlet pretty vulnerable to the elements.
As you can see everything is exposed to the elements
So I went to Home Depot and purchased this:
It's primarily used for outlets on the outside of buildings to keep bugs and water from damaging outlets
took apart my shift bezel to clean and install dual battery voltage monitors
Ewww
it's like a russian nesting doll
all pretty now
Dual battery voltage monitors installed
top one is set to switched power for main battery - on with the key
bottom one is wired to my power inverter with a push button - otherwise it would be on all the time
