So you traded for a TJ?
What's the specs on it?

I've been toying with that idea when I finish building my 91 and throw some paint on it.

97 tj. 2.5L AX5 Stick shift, 3" suspension, brand new 33" Baja Claws, LED lights all around, LED rock lights, Smitty bilt fenders, some type of rear fender guards, full doors, half doors, soft top, new paint.
Decent little jeep

Nice.

That's pretty much what I'd be looking at. I figure I could rock the 2.5l and swap a 4.0 in down the road. I have a spare anyways. All the 5spd/4.0 TJs near me must be made of gold, people want waaaay too much.

that is IF someone bites on a trade, lol.

Got plans for the TJ? Or another XJ?

Tj plans are:
4.5 inches, 35s, 456s after I find a pair of 44s, something similar to the Rock KRawler triangulated long arm setup, lockers front and rear, new front bumper, flat belly, maybe a 4:1 case.
who knows.

...and you said you didn't have the cash to buy a built 44 all at once. lol

So, you traded for a vehicle that costs even more to build. lol

Thats the whole point of regearing bud!

Looks like a nice platform for a mild tj build.

I know that's the point of regearing but a 4cyl will still not turn 35s near as good as a 4.0 4:56 gears or not. One good thing tho is that Dave only has to drive a few miles to work so I guess it'll be okay. I was just slightly biased towards his Cherokee because I know all the work that went into it and helped with a good deal of it.

Doesn't bother me.
4.0 swap is always an option not terribly hard.
I could swap a 4.0, ax15, and a new t case on without much...only need different engine mounts on the frame
