I haven't ever heard of issues with solid covers. I had wanted to to with ruff stuff covers but I've heard about clearance issues. I'm running zj steering right now. Sooner than later will be running a crossover setup similar to froelich.

I had a Solid cover on the D30 when I had WJ steering. I used a straight tie rod and it would barely touch the diff cover at full lock one way or the other. Not enough to hurt anything. (That was OTK on WJ knuckles)

This was before I installed the cover but you get the point. It's really freakin close.



Offset tie rod ends would fix the problem.

That conversion isn't cheap now that I look into it lol... Maybe this summer with my steering project in general. I'll see what other people's stock set ups are.

Offset TRE's would work on WJ steering but what would you do on stock knuckles for the drag link?
