i am a mild wheeler i was hoping some incite on my build are chrome-ally shafts for a Dana 30 hp worth the money will they hold up will a Dana 30 take the abuse or should i just chop up a 44 n order shafts for it

I think you should be ok with the Dana 30.

depends. if you plan on stepping up to a 35" tire a D44 could be very justifiable. but chopping it short? no. the waggy comes in pretty close width to stock axles. or run a ford 44 8.8/9" and run a 5" back space wheel

the D30 can handle 35's. a front and rear axle swap is a whole new can of worms anyway

That's like a tank and a half of gas. The money would be better spent there. Unless you're doing some crazy *** rock crawling and bashing your Jeep over mountains of large rocks the stock covers are more than adequate and in most applications better at their job than the aftermarket whizbang covers.
