Me too. I see you have the 94, the year before the airbags started. I was looking for that year for this same reason. I guess I was not smart enough to not take the fuse out before trying this obstacle (which I think was the most difficult on this trail). The only thing that happened to my front bumper was a scratch. We were really surprised the airbag went off.

Unfortunately, there is not a fuse. It is mechanically operated. I have a 1996 that my dad wrecked and the airbag deployed. I removed the airbag parts that you still have mounted and there was not an electrical connection for the airbag at all. There was a spring loaded lever thing attached to the back of it. It really shocked me to find this.

Hmmm.. well I have checked under the dash and under the hood and I could not find any blown fuses, or for the airbag. I am not getting any power to my stereo harness, nor the cig ligthter. I ran power direct from the battery to stereo and it works, so something happened to the heep.
Your rig is looking real good....do you mind if i steal some of your ideas? lol. i really like the look of the sound bar, did you get it thru a private sale or find it at the junk yard? How hard was it to install? I posted once to this thread about your quarter panel dent, i found that when i trimmed my fender, that it kinda took care of itself. i have a maroon 2dr 1990 that is/has turned out to be the bane of my wife's existance, but she's coming around. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a connection for your airbags behind the wheel. Its a small cover that should pop off on most cars/trucks. I know this because I just totaled my 99 lumina while pulling all the junk outta the car I was checking it out. And I'm glad my 94 does not have an airbag. There nice if your not wearing your seat belt(Yeah sometimes I'm dumb.) But other than that they can rearrange your face. When it went off in my lumina it caught me from nailing the steering wheel and my girl from going threw the window but it bruised us both us and took a nice chunk of skin off my shoulder and possibly fractured my arm.
Just watch if any of you guys disconnect the power from it. because they still hold power for an hour from what I'm told.
Nice build tho. Bumpers look great!
there are NOT fuses for a 95-96 air bag.
it operates with a pendulum which swings and breaks a (glass) part that causes the chemicals to mix causing deployment.
you can lock it out. there is a plastic plug on top of the steering wheel right where it joins the column. pop it out, and there is a 5/16 (8mm) screw in there. it needs to be turned X direction to lock out the pendulum. I forget which direction but an owners manual should have the description

I'm not putting another one back in though. At least until I sell it.
I probably have one sitting around that could work for you. worse come to worse, I can peel a skin off of one and ship you the skin...then you can use styrofoam behind it to make it look decent.
Umm. What do you mean by "At least until I sell it" got something else in mind?

SWEET LOOKING TRUCK. I want to build a front bumper just like that for my friends xj but just a tad bit narrower. How do I order the kit you used and how much did it cost? Just call them? I don't see it on their site.
