Default Cheap Jeep

Purpose of my project: Buy and build a capable XJ for about $2k, that can still serve as a DD.

Found: 95 2dr SE auto, w/Pro Comp 3" lift.

Carpet was disgusting. Ripped it out and bedlined w/Plasti-kote.

Bought a Rugged Ridge D30 skid and Warn t-case skid

Found some used 15x7 black steelies and 5 used MTR 31s.

Iron Scorpion DIY bumper kit:

Painted it white:

Jk, that's the bare metal primer from Rust-oleum

Free shackles:

Tada:

Thanks for the compliments guys. I like the stock SE wheels too and they have good tires. Will be going back on in Oct/Nov.

I installed a stock sound bar from a 98 xj, and my Warn t-case skid yesterday. Some more goodies on the way. Will post more pics soon.....

Your Xj looks great. I noticed that you have the same problem that I do with the Left fender being "pushed" in. Have you fixed that yet? And if so, how'd you do it. I've tried beating, pounding and pulling. Do I need to get a new fender? I appreciate any help you can give...thanks

It's a trail rig, so I don't plan on fixing it bro. Maybe drill some holes in there and pull the fender out? Like the body shops do. Then bondo the holes, sand and paint??

Yes I did. On June 20th. I had seen it on CL for a while before I called the guy. I later learned he was not honest about the "drive shaft vibration issue". It was actually 3 broken studs in the engine block for the engine mount. Took me all day to fix, but it's done.

Why didn't you buy it? Other than that, it's actually pretty clean. Just needed someone to give it some TLC.

I saw on Powerblock TV that the problem is the lower hinge. What they did was that they cut the old one, adapted a plate to be able to adjust the door alignment and used shims to make minor adjustment. I'll look the website and let you know
