I figured it was about time to start a build thread as this is my 1000 post! I sold my dads '83 blazer for $700 & picked this '89 XJ 2 door 4.0L 4x4 for $500!!! I don't have many before pics, cause it wasn't long tell I added the 3" RE kit on the already installed 2" teraflex BB! My plans are to fab as much of this jeep as possible hence the name, so stay tuned...

My list of upgrades are;
*build my sliders
*TJ rear fender flares all around (for now)
*detours backbone
*XRC8 winch
*build a "prerunner" tube bumper off of the backbone
*bed line the whole jeep/fix any rust; inside, outside, & undercarriage
*crystler 8.25 swap (unless i could find a D44)
*aussie lockers
*build a rear tube bumper with swing out tire carrier
*reinforce the unibody frame rails
*"hummer" chop mod w/button on soft top
*custom tail lights w/MJ tail gate!
*fab some tube fenders
*exo cage
(in order i hope to do this)
this list keeps getting longer & longer! lol

Awesome build thread Ryan! Like djlarroc said its about time you out one up. I like the whole built not bough concept! It sounds like you got some pretty sweet mods in the works for the future. I wish I had the skills and tools to build my own stuff like that! I don't even have a garage lol Anyway good luck on everything I will be keeping an eye on this thread.

 

Who said anything bout a garage??? Lol I've done all this in my drive way! I plan on hitting it hard this spring into summer!
