I picked up a factory gas tank skid and T case skid off of a pre 96' today along with a 31" tire so I have a spare for when I go larger. The 2 skids and tire was only 25 bucks. Gotta love pull it yourself. Anyways I bedlined the gas tank skid today then when I went to install it I figured out it wouldnt fit so tomarrow i have to cut it a bit. I'll post pics when i get further along.
Oh and the PVC intake only gets put on when I go wheelin I dont drive with it on cause its stupid looking lol.

Alright so here are some pics of me driveway posing cause were stupid kids and have nothing else better to do. These are from a while ago so no skids in the pics.

So now back to more recent times. My buddy and I went to the Junkyard last weekend and i got OEM gas tank and T case skids. Along with a 31" Mud terrain that will make a nice spare. The skids and tire came out to 25 bucks so not bad in my book.
Heres the Gas tank skid its off an '89 so i had to mod it by cutting on about a 2 inch strip on the back Side. im not to worried considering the hitch is right there. I bedlined the whole thing inside and out then shot it with some red paint.

Now the T case skid which was harder to mount then I thought it would be. I had to drill one hole in the unibody rail then hammer in the other bolt cause of the welded on nut. But its on now and looks good so all is well.

thanks man, sorry it took me a while to respond.
Anyways, the T case skid is pretty tough actually. The 2 mounts to the trans crossmember are easy. But the unibody framerail mount is another story. The front bolt I just drilled a hole and used a self tapper cause you cant get a nut in there. But when I removed the skid at the JY the rear bolt's nut just spun inside the framerail so i just pried it out and hammered it into my framerail. I know its not the right way to do things but hey its better than nothing.
As for the lift I pretty sure Sept. Oct. timeframe it will get lifted. I belive im ordering my wheels this week than getting tires. so its all coming together.

Thanks a lot man.
So i was looking at the wheels the other day and I know people like american racing over cragar because AR has 4 welds instead of cragars 3. But it seems cragar has caught on to this and is now useing 4 welds a well. I thought I would just share this.

thanks man well I found a set of 31's on craigslist the other day but I cant tell how much tread they have left on them and the guy has not responded. Im gonna see if I can get some nice used tires cause im cheap. Then mount them up in my shop class again cause im cheap and I dont want to pay for mounting and balencing so around sept. they should be on.
