I'm still baffled at everything you have done to the rig, and Your mother stopped you from doing a lift?

Have you not shown her the thousands of 3" lift jeep pictures available?

also. that trac bar wouldnt of worked with a 3" lift. Roughcountry told me DO NOT use the trac bar with anything LESS then 4"

haha well I hydrolocked it today was goin a little fast thru a huge puddle/where a river came over a dirt road and she died on me. after some kind words and woring the starter for 10 mins off and on to give it a break of course she finally fired up. I was praising he 4.0. So i drove it home and other than my buddys saoked socks and tennis shoes there was no harm done. but just for good measure i pulled hte plugs and cycled the starter no water really came out but i felt better.

I fully understand your point, i just fail to see how you were not able to explain it in a way where she would understand. at 3" your really not changing to much in the handling department. Once you rebuild the rear spring packs and put the new stiffer front coils in, with the right offset of wheels, you will probably handle better then stock.

Gotcha on the tracbar, just wanted to make sure you were informed. i would hate to spend the time installing something to find out its not going to work.

Good luck on the build. for a high school kid, you seem to have a level head and do things right the first time. Lovin the Hurculiner setup

Well about a week ago I hit puddle/small pond too fast I hydrolocked the motor. I felt/feel like a dumbass for doing this but hey you live and learn. but anyways this opened up a bunch of problems.

1) I had to change the oil and after letting it sit for a few days it seperated and there was a film of water...great. So i took it to the auto parts store today to get rid of it and the guy thought i blew a head gasket it was that bad.

2) The TPS went I guess this is a common thing when you hydrolock cause water gets in there. So i had to replace that.

3) My tranny has always shifted wrong and now its getting worse I dont think it has to do with the water I think its just having issues.

So the XJ will be going on a modifcation diet for a while till I see if the motor is gonna blow or what. If it blows i dont know what will happen i see 3 options.

1) Drop a new motor in it. either stroker or just a JY motor.
2) Sell the thing
3) Turn it into a project jeep strickly for offroad use (i dont see this happening)

Well the compression test came out great so no problems there

Anyways I went to the junkyard today with my buddy and got some fun stuff. A new side mirror sense it was cracked. Then a new airbox out of a comanche which is kinda odd. I also got a new 4.0L badge for the back hatch.
