Default 99xj high school build

Hey everybody. I just picked up a 1999 cherokee limited with 113xxx for 3800$. I'm only 15 and a freshman in high school but i had the money for it and I'll have plenty of time to work on it. I've already ordered a 4.5 inch rough country lift and after I save up more money I'm gong to run 32x10.5's. I plan on doing a lot to the the jeep but money is definitely a problem!! Let me know what you think and any ideas and comments are welcome, I'll try to upload as frequently as possible, and I'll keep you updated as I do more and more upgrades

So we finished the 4.5 rough country lift. Got it all together, looked at it for 5 min, and took it right back apart. The rear was wayyy to low. Its hard to tell in this picture. We called rough country and we need to send the add a leaf back and they will give us 75$ form them
Then I'm gonna buy full packs, I'm shipping them back on Monday and hopefully getting the full packs soon. Looks kinda funny with the small wheels and tires! Getting 32s as soon as I get the money lol!

You should get a 3.5" leaf pack and an extended shackle. However, rough country sucks as a brand. You're going to need shackle relocation brackets if you want a good ride and good flex.

Did you remove your rear sway bar? You should. It doesn't do anything, but limit flex.

Clean Jeep for sure.

I'm just going to get the rough country 4.5 full packs the way it should be. Can I run that spring on stock shackles?

You can but you will have the same issue all of us have had. Their leafs suck. If you do 3" leafs and 1.5" shackles you'll get a better ride and better flex.

Great looking jeep to start with! I have a thing for white XJs obviously!

I'm after getting it to stay level and look good. I'm not too worried about flex right now. Will 4.5 rough country full packs work with stock shackles and be the same height as the front? That's all I care about

Not worried about flex, or ride... just looks...? In my opinion if you're starting with such a good base, you should take time and do stuff right. If you wanna half-*** stuff go buy a 500 dollar Jeep. Just my two cents, though...

We're saying the RC 4.5" leaf packs are too short for a Cherokee. Period. Post up a pic of the shackle angle when you're done... You'll want a 3.5" and extended shackle with low pro relocation brackets so it won't ride like a dump truck.

It is going to be a pain in the *** to get them together because their leafs are short.

3.5" packs and an extended shackle is the right way to do it. I dont understand your comment saying

4.5" packs cost more than 3.5" packs and shackles...

You must have gotten the AAL and shackle.

Post a picture of it.

Yes you can though.
