Going to RC for a 2 day wheeling event this coming weekend, join if anyone is interested. Had to patch the gas tank again, old patch let go right after I filled the tank. I had to catch about 5 gallons of fresh gas in a tote I used when I did my coolant refresh. New tank is next on the list, dad says fuel cell but I don't want to deal with that. Plan is to run all blacks or as many as possible this weekend.
RC trip was a big success. Running some blues, mostly blacks, and venturing up a red on the second day was a blast. Pushed the jeep more than I have before, some body damage but no breakage to the drivetrain so we kept rolling. Following an XJ on tons and 40s was fun. I found that I need to bumpstop my rear and work on the front a little. Regear and front locker made a huge difference on the rocks but I found out why some people don't like lunchbox lockers up front with a lot of turns on the trail. I'm editing as I have time.
I also agree with this statement. I'd love to have a selectable rear mostly for the road manners. Where I park at my apartment is on a hill so I can't leave without chirping tires and I'm sure my neighbors love that.
For $100 I couldn't say no for the front locker lol. Here are some pictures, I was following an XJ on '05 superduty axles on 40s and a ZJ on '04 superduty axles on 37s. The XJ was welded front and rear with only 4.5"s of lift while the ZJ was spartan front, factory lsd rear on 8"s of lift. Some spots I was able to maneuver better than they were due to width, but it was a lot of fun regardless.
I've never been a fan of one ton swaps without cages. If you're getting into stuff serious enough for tons and 40s you should put a cage in it. Not to mention how much extra weight tons and 40s add when you're on your roof.
The list never ends, he has plans for it. He probably could of crawled up steeper lines if he wanted to but didn't want to push it. The owner of the ZJ on the other hand plans to lower it and cage it with some other plans.
Well I think I have made the last drive with the half doors for the year. Driving in the cold rain that later turned to snow flurries was enough to give the Jeep the wash I wanted from the last trip while being lazy and running errands. Time to swap out the busted electric motor in the original driver full door and swap in the half door hand crank setup.
Drilled out and tapped all the crossmember bolts from m10 to 7/16" bolts. Lost one bolt and the threads last trip. I didn't want to drill out the factory nut so I went to the next size up.
Yes it is. It gets posted a lot on facebook. Some girl asked people to post pictures to make some edits of and she took mine then ran with it to her etsy store and made some memes. Did you receive this as a sticker or something?

I saw the picture on Facebook earlier today and then I saw that sticker on some sticker website either redbubble or Etsy.
