I'm not using a np231 skid plate. I have a 1/4" skid from Rusty's that cover 2/3 of the center section. Rusty's puts a drop to clear the 242 vs the 231. I'm going to cut the skid plate I have and raise it up so it doesn't hang so low. I was scraping it last outing while the crossmember was untouched. If I want I could use any np231 skid after this though. But it's easier for me to cut and weld it back up to sit higher vs spending all the money for a new skid and selling the current skid plate I have. Depending on how high it sits afterwards I might be able to simply cut and flip the crossmember plate where it drops so it actually is rises. Hoping for at least a flush finish with the crossmember

Ford shock towers arrived today. They're 1/4" steel, very beefy. I'm thinking cut a ^ in the middle for a better weld penetration to the stiffener/uniframe.

Hosed the pollen off the Jeep and just held the towers to where they should be mounted to see shock measurements. Currently in the stock locations my shocks are at 19" ride height. With a rough estimate of how the shocks should be with the towers the shocks should be around 22". Might be able to actually use my current shocks maybe.

So no real update, been busy lately. Just something fun. So I commented on another page asking for flex pictures for possible decals. Mine was chosen and with my consent, generated on a several items. The store owner said she'll make more sayings in the future as she adds more to the store. But I think it looks BA just saying. https://www.redbubble.com/people/sdr...ory_refinement

Started Project Half Doors. Mimic the look from the Pabst Roadhouse guys to go with the bodyline of the Jeep. But I wanted to maintain the door handle and use it both to open the door and be able to pick the door up with it. Never seen anyone use the full door handle before. I got one side ready for bondo and paint. I'm not looking forward to lifting my doors off the jeep equipped with all electronics. I did find exact color matching touch spray paint on amazon (of all places) that i'll experiment with to get them to match.

I love Clyde's Jeep. Always wanted to do a 1/2 door setup like it too. Maybe on the next Jeep.... still have the front doors off the '98 to do it too lol

Got the other side today. Image the same pictures but MIRRORED!!!!! Bought some bondo, touch up spray paint, and bedliner. I ordered some Pioneer 6x9 speakers, going to mount them in the middle hole in the door. Should sound great, sound deadner is on the way too.
