Got the tires yesterday, there Hercules trail digger mt's. They are like new, I traded my 30-9.50's for them even up. Two of my 30's were near new and the other two were at 50% tread, I kinda felt bad so I paid to have his mounted and balanced too. I also bought a decent 33" spare on a stock jeep steeley off him for $50 now I just gotta find some tj flares

Progress has been slow on the jeep, I agree the tires made all the difference and thanks for the props. Still havnt installed the locker, I need new axle u joints as well. I have been doing some side work in the shop to fund my expensive hobbies and havnt even had time to work on my own stuff lol. I did however buy this locally off of Craigslist. It's made out of 3/4" emt. I need to figure out a sturdy way to mount it and give it a fresh coat of black. Not a bad score for $45 although it is atrociously tall at 14" but once the spare is mounted it looks a little better. It also has a spare tire mount built in. Last week I had a winch cover made out of fire resistant army tarp, had a Amish upholstery shop make it for a mere $18 super rugged, and blows the paper bag that smittybilt sent with the winch away

Got the no slip installed. WOW!! Night and day difference.. Also welded up a better fill plug to rear diff cover. It's beyond me why they put that plastic leaking pos in there to begin with. Here's a couple pics. Still no progress on on my "Hella" tall roof rack but I've got all winter. Also fixed my leaking rear axle seal while I was at it. Decided to do both sides.
