Went back at it again today. trans filter, both diffs, xfer case and oil all changed. The oil filter was so tight it literally came off in pieces. Ill post a pic of that later. I also put in a new oil pressure sender. It was reading near 0 oil pressure at idle cold, now reads about 70 psi. Going out to the junk yard in the morning to buy a replacement door panel for the passenger rear door and a dome light lens. Id like to find a hitch if possible

Picked up a pass rear door panel & dome light lens for $10.00 putting me at a grand standing total of $687.00
Heres a few pics of it cleaned up and road ready + one of the oil filter that gave me such grief. So now its suspension lift (4.5" Rough Country), wheels (Crager soft 8's), tires (33x10.50 bfg km2's) bumpers front and rear (Roxolid), 29 spline axle rear end (found one at the picknpull for $100) and a rear Lock-Right. It seems to have an issue with the neutral safety switch as occasionally it doesnt want to start.

I talked to a former co worker of mine who owns a junk yard to see if he would be interested in giving me "yard credit" for some tacoma parts I have that were spares from my last rig. I found a 29 spline rear axle in a 98 cherokee that also has a limited slip + some black flares for an xj in his yard that im getting for the taco parts. I figured id do this to save some $$ for now and then in the spring when I plan to do a gear swap I'll just purchase a detroit instead of a lunch box locker since you cant put them in a limited slip carrier. how well do the limited slips work from the factory in these? Anyone have a posi from the factory in their xj??

I spent some $$$$ today.... I ordered a smittybilt xrc-8,smittybilt winch cover, crager soft 8's and center caps from summit racing today for $538.00, a set of roxolid razor front and rear bumpers for $395.00 and four new BF Goodrich KM2'S for $600 (a good friend owns a tire shop
) so monday Im going to order a 4.5" rough country lift kit for $459.00 and pick up my 29 spline trac lok limited slip 8.25 that i scored basically free. Plans are to use that til this spring and build my current 27 spline 8.25 with a 29 spline detroit locker and 4.88 gears that way all I have to do is swap the 29 spline axles over and bolt it up. After this weeks spending spree i'll be at a total investment of $2,679.00

Found this on the front porch after work today. Winch, 4 crager soft 8' s and some stainless steel center caps. Winch weighed 90lbs, had no idea they were that heavy. Bumpers were $500, not $395 I ordered a beefier rear bumper that has a hitch and added a hitch to the front bumper as well so my total is $2,784

The lift kit and my winch cover made it here today. Bumpers wont be here for another week or so since they were both custom pieces. Looking forward to getting started on it. Tires will be in & mounted on the new wheels friday. Hoping to get the lift put on sunday night.

Cant wait to start building it!! The wife and I work oppisite shifts. We only have one day off a week together so that leaves me stuck working on this in the evenings on my off days when she can be there with the little one. P)lus it so damn cold here in ohio it takes my shop 3 hours to heat up.
