wraping the header is always a pain and the retainer ties can cut you quick mine smoked a crap tone after the header wrap just until they got hard

it smoked a bit during the baking process but by the third go it stopped

I don't know if I'm looking at this correctly but did you powdercoat your headers using a
kitchen oven ??

ha, no. i painted them with a vht paint that contains ceramic and theres a three stage baking process to cure the paint

ive seen the baking done before most dont do the actuall curing process they paint it and are done.

oh and after much research and debate i also did this

i decided the reward of reduced under the hood temps wasnt worth the risk of damaging (and voiding the warranty on) my pretty new headers. a waste of money and time but lesson learned

got get her stripped pulled undressed, new motor dressed, in and mated to the tranny before calling it a day. wont be around to finish though cause i have school but i was hella stoked to be able to assist like i did

Looking great. You gotta be excited about the new/er engine!
Mind if I ask where you got the headers and what they set you back?
Rear disk conversion kit as well. Great mods that I'd like to do to my 00 as well.
