They way the manifolds are connected with the same bolts is a real pain in the ****. I swapped out my infamous (and cracked) 0331 head and actually broke by intake manifold. I didn't realize it had slightly warped and when I cranked down on one of the bolts, it cracked. Any way, getting those back in is a chore.
Hopefully she's out of the OR soon and back on the road.

well the motors in and purring. shes got some vibes now, prolly from the new motor mounts and shes getting a little warm after driving around a bit. rad caps leaking so i got a new one to go on it. new noises make me nervous and theres plenty of them haha, but it is after all a brand spanking new motor. hopefully things will settle as she breaks in.

well shes up to 70 miles... my oil pressures doing a "all over the map" sorta thing. high at first, mid once she warms up and looooow after long drive. talked to Ron at atk and he says as long as its stay from 13 to 75 its fine. its getting mighty close to that ten mark at idle after long drives tho. shes getting hot in urban driving which might be leading to the low drop, gonna replace my fan clutch as soon as i can rustle up some money cause its pretty much the only part of my cooling that isnt new.

ive been getting a REALLY rough idle on a cold start.... she fires up nice but then the whole heep starts rocking back and forth for about 10 secs then she smooths out...
but wait whats this? oh snap! mikey actually fixed something haha.
after reading into the subject i found that it could be a faulty upsteam o2 sensor not heating up, corroded battery cables, dirty iat sensor, dirty TB. so to the wrenches i went.
the o2's were replaced when the headers went it so i started with exchanging them and swapping them out in the parking lot. it wasnt a cold start when i drove home so who knows if thats all it was. got home and swapped out a nasty looking posi terminal. it wont let me upload pictures but now its nice and pretty and instead of having my amp and two lighting wires all smashed onto the nut they have thier own nuts. pulled the iat and tb off this morning, tb had a generous amount of black **** smudged in it, pretty now. iat looked fine but prettied it up and stuck it back in, dielectric greased all the sensor hook ups, fired her up and WA LA no more rough idle.
