So many previous actions did not actually fix the issue i had. Originally I had suspected a leaking injector and after about a month of chasing leads and ending with nothing fixed I got the bright idea to do my own "poor mans leak down test" by pulling my rail out, still connected, and setting it on piece of cardboard
like so but as i pulled the injectors out
the rear one came out with a puddle. whereas all the others were dry
I waited and waited and nothing came of my leak down test but i went ahead and swapped out that rear one...
no more problem

Well guess i should knock the dust off this thread ha.
Since my last post I've installed an A/C bypass pulley as mine was making all sorts of racket due to a bad bearing. pulled the old unit and now i can get to the bearing at my leisure which given I live Cen Cal in a beach town may be never haha. Hell when i lived in sac i never used my ac. just not an ac person i guess? installation was a breeze besides the shop that was looking into my misfire telling me that they had discharged it as per my request only to crack the bolt loose and get blasted with yellow oil. any who its nice to hear my motor again
Still fighting this mysterious misfire though. I've brought it to 5 shops now, all who claim "they'll figure it out", all who have said "yea, i dunno" and then offered some off the wall dia i.e. clogged cats. But alas my list is becoming shorter. I've swapped every injector out, O2's, checked valve springs, had it smoked for leaks, checked fuel pressure and bleed off, had a shop hook it up to their fancy lil snapon laptop ma jigger.... which showed zero problems during the miss. HA! fun.
yesterday i swapped out the crank sensor after reading misfires being cleared up by that or the cam sensor and three cold starts in and no miss but not getting my hopes up just yet due to its ability to clear up for a bit before returning in the past.
