Well the 96 country is officially sold and gone. Now that I have the $ I can feed it directly to my 00 lol
Also, Just wanted to put it on the record that I am thoroughly excited to get to the junkyard tomorrow!

Had a good day at the junkyard today! Got some great stuff and u found factory front tow hooks! I knew I was feeling lucky! Also got some vent shades for the windows for 5 each and I got some connectors I needed for my door less mod. Which I will be doing tomorrow and cover it plenty of pics.

But sadly I couldn't find any Window switches
bummer. There were plenty of them on the 96 and under models but all the 97 and newer ones were already picked. Guess it's a common thing!

Nice find on the factory tow hooks. I got mine off a MJ at the junk yard too.
Awaiting the doorless mod write up and pics as I want to see what connector you are using. I didn't want power windows or locks for this reason, but I ended up with it in the end.

There are actually 3 connectors in the kick panel that connect to all the wiring in the doors. You can either disconnect and connect them every time or what I did was I went to the junkyard and got spare connectors which I'm going to splice in right at the door.

Today was a nice easy day for me. I was up entirely too late last night.. Well this morning I should say. Lol.
I tightened up my loose mud guard with some door clips and while underneath the jeep I noticed my breather for my front diff was torn. So I replaced that. I also took off and cleaned out my throttle body, and painted it yellow. Here are some pics.
I had the truck on ramps doing the little things I mentioned and before I wrapped up I did a little stock flex action. Couldn't help myself

Also another question. I'm getting ready to install my lift in the next few weeks. It's a 3 inch series 2 rough country with add a leafs. I am ordering shackles and spacers to make it 4 inches. Should I be Ok with the transfer case dropped and sway bars dropped? Or should I not do the spacers right now and just toss the 3inch on there for the time being?

I say go for a full 4/ 4.5 inch with new leaf packs. I have AAL on mine from the previous owner and its ver stiff and ive heard they sag very quick. A shackle/leaf pack combo will give you more flex in the rear ive herad alot of good thing about the iron rock offroad lifts

Yeah the only reason I planned on building off the 3inch was that I already have it.
Question really is with a 4-4.5 inch lift will swaybar brackets and a transfer case drop be enough to not have driveline vibs?
I definitely plan on doing a hack and tap but that's going to be a little down the road. I hear they sell the hack and tap kit with a front axle refurbished for like 200 or something like that

Keep in mind that these are temporary fixes. If you don't wheel then you should be fine. But for the long term you might want to do it the correct way. Sway bar discos and either SYE or HnT.
I had a tcase drop for a few months before I did the SYE.

Every Jeep is different. Some get vibes with a tcase drop, some don't. Sway bar drop brackets are fine, but don't affect the vibrations caused by the driveline.

Thank you for the insight. This truck will definitely be wheeled but also a DD. I for sure have plans for the sye but not right now. You know how it is. Lol
