It didn't just shift recently. When you lifted your xj the axle the shifted bc of the stock track bar not being long slough it probably just took until now to notice it. It's not going tor hurt anything for the time being...

They single shear that uses a tie rod end has a reputation for snapping.
Never heard bad things about their double shear one.
How much you pay?

All I got was the single shear track bar. If it can last long enough for me to be able to be driving it, idc. Ill replace it and upgrade it. Right now I just want it drive ableOriginally Posted by DieselD

Death wobble still there. In fact the axle is shifted to the passenger side now..like alot. Took my tape measure and checked the measurements. Passenger side from spring to outside of the tire is right at one foot and on driver side it's right at 10 and a half inches. My mechanic said I need longer control arms but I personally don't think that is what is causing the wobble. Any ideas?

Well that axle should be centered, its an adjustable track bar. Need to have it adjusted to center the axle first before you start replacing other things. Has he never messed with an adjustable track bar?

When I took my xj too him he had no idea where to start with it and talked to a friend of his who I guess is big on jeeps. I'm getting ready to go try and fix it but idk if I have to take the tie rod end off or if I can do it with it all still attachedOriginally Posted by DieselD

Pretty sure you'll have to disconnect it. Theres a way to measure to make sure its centered. Frame rail to somewhere on the axle in an X let me see if I can find it.Originally Posted by acewingman89

Did you pay this guy to put it on? Just wondering.

Measure from frame rail to tire. Both sides should be the same.
Seems a lot of people unbolt it, then turn the wheel to move the body of the jeep where they want it (centered) and adjust the track bar to fit. then measure to make sure its right.

Do you possibly have pics of where to measure?Originally Posted by DieselD

I sure don't, it was just from Google searching. Measure from the same point on both sides it shouldn't matter exactly where is at. In front of the coil at the frame to the tire?
