Yeah, I would have liked too, but I am definitely tapped out on Jeep funds at the moment. I will probably do a rear locker when I regear and/or do the disc brake conversion. The locked front is plenty for me right now.

a forum member used to sell them on ebay. Here's a 10-page thread about them if you or anyone else is interested in reading up. It's a very cool product.

My last piece of the front end puzzle (for now) finally arrived...Crown extended height stainless steel brake lines. I didn't want orange, but after waiting a couple weeks Quadratec finally let me know the clear ones were backordered so I went with what they had available. I think the orange will be cool.

Going to try and knock out my upper/lower control arms, front bump stops, front shocks, black magic pads, rotors and calipers and brake lines this weekend. I would like to paint the inner wheel wells black while I have it all apart, but that will probably have to wait.

Sounds like a weekend of fun! Be sure to give the brake fluid a good flush while you are down there. My fluid came out so black I thought it was used motor oil, not brake fluid. About a qt of fluid later, all good.

Haven't spent too much time with the Creampuff the past couple weeks, but I did some big things...Sold my Harley and bought something new. Going to pick it up today.
Bye Harley

The Harley was a 2007 Sportster Low. It was a good bike, but after riding it for a while I realized I did not want a cruiser.

This is only my second bike, so I have no brand loyalty. Have you owned a Yamaha? I chose the bike I felt fit best and did my best to keep and open mind to different brands. It was basically between the XSR900, Yamaha FZ-09, Ducati Monster and the Triumph Street Triple R. It was the best of the bunch after doing my research. I'm very happy with my choice so far.

I'm in the market for a sportster to do some work on. Or even thinking about building my own custom bobber with a buddy of mine. I'm also a big fan of the Ducati Monster 1200S. Probably my favorite production bike at the moment.

I have not. Don't mean to knock them as I ride a Yamaha snowmobile in the winter months and absolutely love it. But for some reason their bikes never catch my attention. However, that is a good looking bike for sure!

Sportsters are very easy to work on and around me are a dime a dozen. It should be very easy for you to find one to fit your needs. I am a fan of Ducati Monsters, but for my first sports bike a 1200 is waaaaay too much bike for me. I had a 1200 Sportster, but its a whole different beast. My new 850cc still scares me a bit and wants to lift the front wheel off the ground on me every time I get on it. I have heard a lot of horror stories about Ducati reliability and maintenance, which is one of the things that steered me away.
