A couple shots of my new Alaskan resident XJ...Local XJ club member hooked me up w/ the 2 factory and one after market crossbar to replace my Nates4x4 roof rack I had to leave in the Atlanta shipping companies parking lot. Roof racks are veeeeery plentiful up here, so I will probably throw some kind of universal one on if I can find something cheap for now.

Damn fine-looking Jeep. I am totally crushing on those wheels and tires. Balooney. Lots of sidewall. I love it. (I wonder if 14" wheels fit on an XJ. That'd be another inch of sidewall. It would look awesome.) I'm buying tires for ol' rusty soon.
And your paint color is awesome. I'd do those white steel wheels with the red and blue stripe. Then your XJ would look like a Converse hightop sneaker.

Thanks man. It's a pretty convenient spot.
White would look cool, but after 20 years my white paint job is pretty offwhite. That might look sort of strange.
The jeep has handled alaska's wet weather pretty well so far. I need to install my front bilsteins still.

Jeep left me stranded at work last week. Cranked but wouldn't turn over. Wouldn't jump. Ordered a new CPS, waited a week for it to ship up here to Alaska. Wasn't too bad to swap because my front driveshaft is currently removed. Starts right up again.
