I also want to learn how to weld first so I can do my own stiffeners and stuff before I make the leap.
Yep going the cav fab route but not cause everyone else is doing it! I am doing it because they offer the 3 link kit with a 4 link upgrade. 3 links are great and all but I am going to stick to a 4 link. And just like you, I am going to use what I have for a while. Its already there and it works so why not use it. Stiffeners and a truss will be done before going LA. One step at a time, you know?

Thats a solid plan. It sounds like we have very similar goals. I understand what you mean about the steps. I really want my rig to look/ride/offroad like all these incredible rigs I see here, but it is a long process. It will get there someday. After two years of fixing it up, its finally getting to the point where I was ready to start showing it off.

Exactly! My jeep was hidden from the world (except on here) until I made it look halfway decent and was 4wd. Took me 3 months before I drove it to work. And it is still nothing compared to a lot of other rigs. But at the same time, I feel good with the progress I have made in the almost 4 months of owning it. But still a lot more to come over the next couple years.

You've made excellent progress in a very short time. Looking forward to seeing more updates.

More updates of the creampuff to come.

I had a mobile detailer come by today and work on the Jeep. Creampuff's first detail that I'm aware of in its 20-years of existence. After about two hours he apologized and asked to reschedule because he was having so much trouble cleaning it up. I actually felt bad for him .

Detail finished...definitely looks better, but the paint is not in good shape.

Trust me, the dents are there! The paint is not terrible for a 20-year-old vehicle, but its not good either. It could use more time with someone doing serious paint correction.

Thanks buddy! Luckily they sent a whole extra bag of hardware because those bolts were way too easy to strip out. The gold looks cool, but I would have definitely preferred hex head bolts like stock.

I'm no stranger to stripped out bolts. LOL.

They suck.
