Hahaha needs more cowbell! I was waiting for someone to mention that actually. I might head up on a shakedown run through big bear on Tuesday, so if I do I'll post some pics here. I know I need gears, which is next on the list, and to get some recovery points and my winch out front.

At that point, I'll more than likely be wheeling it every weekend.

Reminds me I need to set my bumpstops!

Mounts are in, piece of cake. The passenger side is a bit crowded to get to, but wasn't an issue at all.

My throttle body is pretty gunked so right after I type this I'm tearing into that..

Did you have to remove anything (except for obviously the original mounts) to get them in? I know the instructions say to loosen the transmission mounts but I didn't know if you had to like drop the starter or anything.

I removed the air box and loosened the trans mount, that's it. The passenger side was tight, but it was manageable without removing anything.

Here's the passenger side: (sorry for the horrible camera angle)

No worries, if you want pictures from any other angle just let me know.
Btw, I have noticed on some xj's the oil filter may be in the way, mine was not, just something to keep in mind.

Yes as far as I know mine still is, if you look at the previous picture closely you can see it behind the motor mount running horizontally. I know some xj's came with the oil filter vertical. If yours looks like mine you'll have no problems. A ratcheting 18mm wrench makes it easy to remove the stock bolt, and a ratcheting 19mm wrench makes installing the brown dogs easier. It's a bit tight in there.

Tomorrow I'm going to look at a D44 Rear!

The axle has 4.56 gears and a Detroit Truetrac.

Will post updates in the afternoon

I definitely agree, that's why I jumped all over this as soon as I found it. Driving down to take a look at it in about 2 hours, if everything checks out I'll haul It home.

Hoping to have it under the jeep by Tuesday, then to Regear the front axle.
