Today I literally pulled one of the stock cargo rings out of the floor by hand.. So I replaced with something more stout.

Upgraded to a group 34 battery instead of the stock group 58.. These diehard platinum p1's are getting hard to find around my area. Had to slightly trim the battery tray, but other than that it slid right in.. Also finally got around to installing the SYE and got rid of the horrible tcase drop. 1996 2 Door Build-image-2950091668.jpg 1996 2 Door Build-image-1473883181.jpg

The SYE has probably been one of the most noticeable (to the driver) modifications I have done yet.. The difference is night and day and so smooth now.

Great build! Great inspiration too! I think i may steal the stolen cup holder project. Very clean 96 2-door! Keep up the good work with Pictures.

Thanks! When you do the cup holders make sure you put them a hair closer together than I did mine.. I had to trim the inside of the console a bit which would have been completely avoidable if I measured twice. It's no big deal for me since no one should be in the console except myself.. But if I did it again they would be a bit closer together.

That may be the nastiest 2 door I have ever seen. Keep up the great work and I will have to steal the cup holder idea as well.

Parts on the way:
-Napier precision flares
-Brown dog motor mounts
-Transmission mount
-Re control arm drop brackets w/braces
-Ironman 4x4 fab long travel shackle relocation kit
-.75" spacer (if the shackle relocation lifts the rear too high)
-A Tj lower shift boot to seal up the giant hole under the console for the shifter

Gah, this build is insane. I thought my 96 red 2 door was clean, but damn!

My only thought reading this was "what's he gonna do with the rear flares?" but now I know! Subbed.

I appreciate it! Yeah I haven't touched the rear flares yet because I was unsure exactly which route I was going to take.. I know I'm going to want to get some 35's right after the flares though.. Been eyeing a d44 locally, I'll probably jump on that and get some 4.88's in it.
