The actual install (after the stock axle was pulled) is still going actually. I started about an hour and 10 minutes ago. The axle is underneath, degree shims in, ubolts in, shocks on, e-brake as well as brake lines hooked up..

All I have left is to put gear oil in, adjust the drums and ebrake cable, hook up the rear driveline and bleed the brakes.

Here are some poor quality pics from today.. Finished right when the sun started to go down so excuse the lighting.

So the install went smooth, not too bad for a solo job. Got the pinion dialed in to 2° below the tcase output.

Not much to update right now.. Put a new speedo gear in, pretty damn close (within about 1mph at highway speed.)

Tomorrow morning I am getting the front end geared to 4.56 and a matching bombshell cover for the HP30.

Heading to pick the jeep back up within the hour. Front geared to 4.56, bombshell diff cover and some new axle u-joints since they already had the shafts removed for the gears.

I'll post some pics once I pick her up

Do you think it's necessary for a WJ brake steering conversion to run 33's?

Its not necessary. I run 33s on stock brakes just fine. WJ brakes would be great tho. I have most the parts for the swap on mine. I just new to figure out my steering. As for Steering get a zj tierod and youll be fine.
