Found this 1990 XJ last December. Previous owner had a 3" lift installed with many new linkage parts. Also rattle can primed.....without masking, scuffing the paint, or even washing it! Spent the last 4 months working on wiring and vacuum line issues, replacing the worn out tilt steering column, and getting the primer job removed. I did a lot of Googling about what type of finish I wanted on the body I found pictures of several that were sprayed with bed liner. Here's mine.....Smoke Grey Metallic. The auto body supply place I use can mix tint in any automotive color you want. Before Right before masking and spraying. Done
That is looking pretty good. I do like the Ford rims you have on there, I always thought they looked pretty good when I had the same ones on my 92 Explorer.
The truck actually looks in pretty decent shape (minimal rust and dents).
Fortunately the is zero rust and the was only a few small dings in the sheet metal. Going to finish the exterior (put the fender flares and emblems back on). As soon as the weather is consistently warm I'm going to pull the seats and carpet out and give everything a good scrubbing. Nothing radical, just make a sharp daily driver,.
